Employee interview - Bojan
What magic do you work for Play’n GO? How did you learn to do that?
Magic is all around me, I’m just channelling it as a team lead of an amazing team that maintains our inhouse game client engine, that runs our games.
I did some training to help me be able to do my job, but most of it comes with experience, simply by working in the team.
How did Play’n GO win you over? Why choose us?
Making games is my childhood dream. Being able to work on the game engine sounded like a dream come true. Play’n GO is a well known company in Malta, so it was an easy choice. Plus I liked the games I saw Play’n GO were creating and I liked the quality of them.
How does the freedom to work remotely make a difference for you?
It gives me more time during the week. I don’t spend two hours per day commuting to the office any more. Also, my wife and cats are happier since I’m home all the time!
How long have you been with us at Play’n GO? What are your impressions? What is it that keeps you going?
I’ve been here six years so far. Working with a great team and peers around me makes my work a pleasure. There are always new challenges and new things to learn.
What do you find challenging about your job?
Challenges come in different forms. From new projects to new changes in processes or tools we’re using.
What do you like the most about working at Play’n GO?
It’s a pleasure working with the people here. That’s what makes the company, other than its vision and decision-making processes.
If you could make the rules, what rules for society would you champion? How would life improve?
People need to be more considerate to each other. Simply doing that would change things drastically in the world. I tend to surround myself with considerate people, that is also true in Play’n GO - one of the reasons I like it here!
What’s next? What do you want to do in 5, 10, 15 years?
I’d love to make games and actually release some!
What do you think your brilliant future needs you to do now? What can Play’n GO do to help you?
Play’n GO has already helped me by giving me more free time, by not spending it going to the office. It’s stable company so I don’t need to worry about job or future.
Trust, Energy, and Quality. What do these words mean to you? How does TEQ make a difference for us at Play’n GO?
By letting us work remotely company shows trust in us and that’s really important. People in general show trust in each other, that everyone is doing the best work they can.
I’m not myself an energetic person, but I see energy in Play’n GO as the ability to translate ideas into action. We make a lot of games, and these come from some amazing ideas from Play’n GO employees. Quality is something I personally value a lot. In our company you can see people strive to do quality work and that obviously translates to quality games.
