Location: Fully remote. This opportunity is open to you if you can legally work remotely from one of our home countries in the UK, Sweden, Malta, Hungary, Spain, Poland, or the Philippines.

What the role entails
Some of the key responsibilities of our Head of Games will be:
- Manages the Design department in creating the best work from the team and their respective games
- Responsible for overseeing the current and future design plan proposed by your designers and assures management that it matches or exceeds the quality and entertainment bar, set by Play’n Go
- Creates the Strategy for the design department
- Manages and owns the Design department budget
- Responsible for the continuous and clear communication with the other Leads, Designers, Producers, and other stakeholders
- Guides team members in concepts into new mechanics, gameplay features, math, methodology and player psychology that lead to intuitive user experiences
- Identifies potential problems and work with team members in devise solutions
- Follows all game development until the release, makes sure the Game Designers final product is as good as it is possible and fulfil the expectation
- Follows the development on each game design resource and report the status
- Focuses the department on the effective execution of delivery and strategy
- Acts as representatives for the company in both internal and external dealings
- Collaborates with other departments in the company to ensure efficiency as well as continuous improvement.
- Updates and reviews policies, processes, and guidelines within the scope of the department. Upholds and advocates the Company values and adherence to Company rules and regulations
- Ensures department’s compliance with processes and aligns activities
- Regularly provides and receives open and constructive feedback on performance, behaviour, and skills.
- Conducts performance reviews according to the company’s current policies and processes and in cooperation with Human Resources and Reporting BP.
- Conducts salary reviews according to the company’s current policies and processes and in cooperation with Human Resources and Reporting Manager.
- Escalates employee issues to Human Resources
- Drives recruitment activities for the team with TA and BP support
- Enhances department’s competence and skills through training plans
- Travels domestically and/or internationally for business as needed.
What we ask of you
Requirements:
- 5 years experience in a management or leadership role
- slots experience strongly preferred
- 10 Years Game Design experience
Preferences:
- Slots industry experience
- Narrative design experience
- UX design trends experience
